About Us

History

Tabitha Mission for Orphans and Widows Int'l (TAMOW) is a Community-focused non - profit, Non-governmental Organisation (NGO) that was founded in 2018 by Binta Danmusa and Peter Apeh, a Certified Development Knowledge Facilitator (DKF) who worked with the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC)/Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) now (SDGs) Advocacy Project for seven years. TAMOW was a response to the grave humanitarian crises occasioned by years of insurgency, deadly herdsmen/farmers' clashes and the devastating effects of HIV/AIDS and other killer diseases on families especially in Northern Nigeria. TAMOW also exists to alleviate the poverty and the harrowing conditions of widows in Nigeria due to the socio-cultural practices which have stripped and alienated them from rights to inheritance after the death of their husbands. TAMOW is also a platform for the achievement of the SDGs that relate to women, children and community development.
